Redwood Gardens is a continually evolving and improving outdoor wedding venue. Just recently we commissioned this beautiful steel gate to be made for the top of the property. Our metal worker, David, is super talented. He took our idea of a sun and ran with it. Soon we will be treating the metal to speed up the rusting process, so it has that rustic look. David is also in the process of making the "person gate" (versus the "car gate") which will be a similar design, but with a moon.
Picture your wedding guests walking in through a beautiful arbor covered with greenery, through a rustic metal gate, and into your dreamy wedding ceremony/reception. They will feel like they've entered a magical place. And if you were having a mid spring wedding, they would be welcomed by a chorus of what sounds like 3 million little frogs (with big voices!).
The projects never cease here. We also recently planted some fruit trees above the lawn, and we're remodeling the bathroom that guests will use inside of our house. Keep posted for more pictures, and contact us if you want to come take a look!

Looking for an intimate, outdoor wedding venue?
We are just getting this blog up and running, but feel free to contact us to get more information about booking your wedding at the Redwood Gardens.
We are a private residence wedding venue in the Santa Cruz mountains with a lot to offer brides and grooms. Nestled beneath the redwoods and on the San Lorenzo River, our home is the perfect place for an intimate wedding (up to 100 people). Your guests will enjoy walking along gravel pathways through our gardens as they move from the ceremony (in front of gazebo or on the lawn- your choice) to the back deck overlooking the river for a "cocktail hour", and then back up to the lawn for the reception. You won't be at a loss for places to take photos. Breathtaking redwoods surround the property and provide a perfect backdrop to the colorful gardens.
We are very easy to work with and want to help you make your special day smooth and memorable. We offer the use of our house for the bridal party to get ready in, restrooms for guests, and our kitchen is available to caterers to use. We don't require you to use any particular vendors, but are happy to suggest some of our favorites! Our venue is also very affordable.
Call us to schedule a visit to the Redwood Gardens. (831) 334-1738/ (831) 332-5622

Fall Creek flows into the San Lorenzo River just beyond our house, creating a pleasant backdrop of water noise. |

A creative "sign our quilt" idea from a bride in October 2011. |

The house was built in 1928. The redwood tree in front of it hadn't even begun growing at that point. |

This is the gazebo option for the ceremony. |

Notice the tree rounds used as centerpieces? Clever idea! |

The bridge leading to our venue provides a great photo op. |

Our street is also pretty picturesque! |

Add a dance floor to the lawn so you don't have to sacrifice dancing to have an outdoor reception! |
